Updated Blog Menus

I trust that everyone enjoyed the long weekend and is even more ready to learn how to find news ways to save and make money.

I spent the day making a few updates to my blog that I thought I would let you know about.

First, I added a traditional full article blog view to give readers yet another way to read my articles.  The full article blog view is available on the main menu on the left side.

Second, I moved some pages from the main menu into the footer at the bottom of each page that are not used as often or on a regular bases, like the Free Budgeting Tool and the Free Newsletter pages.

Third, I updated the Popular Books page by adding sub menus for my primary categories of interest, Economics, Personal Finance, New Markets and Small Business.  I also added a tab menu on the top of each category, showing the Most Popular, 10 Best, Most Recent and All books for each category.


 
I hope these changes help readers find information about books and article quicker then before.  Let me know if you like the changes or have other ideas that you would like to see.

Scott detailed how the Internet has brought several waves of new market opportunities, including efficiency, products (e-commerce) and niches. Scott emphasizes by his examples, that it’s easier to use the Internet to market an existing business than to build a new business on the Internet. The best way to do that is by creating original content, which is exactly what bloggers do.

Street Smart Internet Marketing

Street Smart Internet Marketing is one of the best books for understanding how to market products on the Internet. Justin provides some of the best methods about selling and marketing information on the Internet. The book goes over topics like email and newsletter marketing, along with explaining how search engines work. The best is chapter 30, which is about writing articles for the Internet. Justin gives insight into how to create articles that are read and what not to do. The last part of the book Justin explains how to create an eBook in 30 days or less and finishes with a great discussion on creating an affiliate program.

The New Influencers

Paul Gillin shows how organizations are using blogs to communicating directly with customers. In the past, marketers could try all kinds of expensive advertising to get the word out to new buyers, with little to show for the investment. Social media is changing the playing field and blogging is becoming a better way to get noticed in the crowded marketplace. Soon, marketing departments may shift from expensive advertizing campaigns to blogging.

Blogging has become a popular and fascinating pastime for many, but more and more bloggers are finding it can also be an excellent source of direct or indirect income.
