This week I participated in three blog carnivals.

Carnival of personal finance #168 hosted by That One Caveman, Money Hack's Carnival #28 hosted by Saving to Invest, Blog Carnival #18 hosted by ThatsBlog.

They did an excellent job and, as usual, there are tons of great posts. If you have the time, I highly suggest you skim through this week’s carnivals.

The Carnival of Personal Finance continues to grow with each edition. Thanks to everyone that participated and made this possible.

Here are a few other articles that I found interesting.

Money Hacks Carnival

The Money Hacks Carnival is growing into a very good carnival. Thanks to everyone that participated and made this possible.

Here are a few other articles that I found interesting.

Energy Victory: Winning the War on Terror by Breaking Free of Oil

Ethanol is perhaps the best strategy to reduce our dependence on oil. Flex-fuel technology has already been developed by an inventive woman engineer at Ford named Roberta Nichols, enabling an engine to run on any mixture of alcohol or gasoline. Our oil money is the primary source of revenue for the terror supporting nations like Saudi Arabia, Iran and Venezuela. With the rising price of gas, ethanol is now cost effective to produce and a strong weapon against the terrorist.

America Alone

In this, his first major book, Mark Steyn--probably the most widely read, and wittiest, columnist in the English-speaking world--takes on the great poison of the twenty-first century: the anti-Americanism that fuels both Old Europe and radical Islam. America, Steyn argues, will have to stand alone. The world will be divided between America and the rest; and for our sake America had better win.

Debt is Slavery

Michael gets to the point in just over a hundred pages. Most people do not have a good relationship with money. They have never taken the time to figure out how to use money to provide no only the essentials of life, but freedom and opportunity. Michael explains how to have 50% of your salary and gives a step by step example of how to create a budget and eliminate debt.

Crossing the Chasm

This book is primary about moving from high tech products from early market success to mainstream market leadership. But, this book explains many of the concepts of moving a business from the starting gate into the marketplace. If you are trying to start a new business, this book will be very useful. This book talks about, attacking a niche market, creating competition, start locally – then globally, building relationships and many others aspects of getting started.
